These incidents may also cause injuries from other, less common causes including lasers, fireworks, and exposure to gas, smoke, and sometimes bodily fluids and substances. The Casualty Care for Civil Disturbances (CCC-D) educational program describes these various injuries and reviews their management. This course is appropriate for all public safety responders, especially law enforcement, who may be asked to respond to, and intervene at, civil disturbances.
